At Spa Well, we’re more than just a community—we’re a home for spa professionals seeking connection, inspiration, and growth.

I’m Sara, the founder of Spa Well. My journey in the spa industry has been varied and rewarding—I’ve managed and directed hotel spas, served as a revenue manager for Carnival overseeing cruise ship spas, and most recently worked as a business development manager for a hospitality tech start-up. After four years in tech, I made the decision to return to the industry I love, bringing with me a new perspective and a renewed passion for helping others thrive.

The vision for Spa Well is deeply personal and rooted in my own journey. In 2020, during my first pregnancy and in the midst of the pandemic, I found myself navigating the unknown, seeking support and understanding. That’s when I joined The Positive Birth Company’s Facebook group, a vibrant space where new parents could share their experiences, ask questions, and support one another. For the first time, I truly understood the power of peer-to-peer learning and the lasting impact of a strong community. Five years later, I’m still part of that community, a testament to its power.

When I returned to the spa industry, I saw a gap. Despite the spa industry’s commitment to nurturing others, there was no dedicated online community space for spa professionals.  That’s when I decided to create Spa Well.

Spa Well is built on the belief that spa professionals deserve a space to grow, learn, and connect. My mission is to provide the tools, resources, and support that spa managers and professionals need to thrive. Whether you're an experienced director or just stepping into leadership, Spa Well is here to help you unlock your full potential.

I’m especially passionate about supporting the next generation of spa managers. Transitioning from therapist to manager is a big leap—one that requires a different set of skills, from leadership to financial understanding. It’s a jump that often lacks the training and guidance it deserves. That’s why we’re here. Through our educational content, webinars, and the support of our community, I want to help provide the tools and insights to help spa managers at every stage of their career, empowering them to grow and succeed.

It’s more than just a network— it’s a movement. By fostering peer-to-peer learning and sharing our collective experiences, we’re not just growing our individual careers; we’re growing the entire industry. Because when the industry grows together, we all become stronger.
